Prigozhin and Utkin, together with other Wagner leaders, died last night in the crash of a plane, about which there are clear indications that it was fired or dynamited from the cabin. Since the event took place on the territory of Russia, there is room for speculation about the perpetrators of the crimes. In the logic of Prigojin’s so-called revolt two months ago, directed against the leaders of the Russian army, the first hypothesis would point to Putin as the one who coordinated the coup, this is what the USA and Ukraine are trying to convince us of. Even those against whom Prigozhin rebelled, i.e. the generals at the top of the Ministry of Defense in Russia, can also be suspected in this line of reasoning, but this hypothesis is not supported by anyone for now, one can easily suspect why.
You know my opinion that the Wagner uprising in June was fake, with Putin’s approval, and subsequent events have so far confirmed this, with Prigozhin being pardoned far too easily, sent to ally Lukashenko’s Belarus, then appearing with African leaders desiring of Wagner military support, but mediated by Russia and Putin (“The Tsar, the Butler and the Cook”, adapted from “The Sultan and the Coup”, a play performed 7 years ago in Turkey. What is the real situation and what is Putin afraid of ? – Solid News). Even so, it is possible that Putin was uncomfortable with Prigozhin’s possibilities of blackmailing him and decided to eliminate him. In this case, however, the death of the other Wagner leaders is not justified, especially Dmitri Utkin, on whom Putin has always relied and was also basing his new offensive in Africa, where Russia cannot move regular troops, but uses this paid army. Why would he have left it without leaders, when if he wanted to eliminate only Prigozhin he could do it individually, simply and operatively, in Africa or anywhere in the world, but not in Russia? Here the Western logic, promoted especially by Joe Biden, becomes lame, and opens the hypothesis of an attack by Russia’s enemies on the plane on which the Wagner leaders were traveling, taking into account what I said above about the Russian generals being made uncomfortable by Prigozhin and co.
Be that as it may, the death of the Wagner leaders primarily inconveniences Russia, which, even on the occasion of the BRICS summit that ends today, was negotiating with allies and African countries how they will counterbalance on the ground the French or American troops guarding/defending the exploitation of resources from many areas, including Niger which is in dispute today, and those mandated with the Russian military representation are the very soldiers from the Wagner troops. If we judge the events in this way, it is clear that we cannot rule out Western forces that would have hit Prigozhin&Company’s plane, putting Putin in great difficulty, severely damaging Wagner’s command mechanism for current operations in Africa. In this case, the red alarm is already ringing in Russia, because the deliberate crashing of a plane on Russian territory shows a great vulnerability of its national security, regardless of whether it was fired from the ground, from the air, or whether a bomb was placed at the Moscow airport aboard the Wagner plane.
Following rather the consecutive reprisals generated by Putin, and less the statements that will be counterbalanced by circular propaganda, we will be able to understand starting today the causes, but especially the consequences of the attack.
